How to Test Your Alarm
CLIENT'S DUTIES: You will instruct all persons who may use the System on its proper use. You will test the System's protective devices and send test signals to the Center in accordance with our instructions at least monthly. If the System includes space protection (ie: ultrasonic, microwave, infrared, photobeams, under-carpet mats or other such detectors) you will turn off, control or remove all things such as air conditioning systems, heaters, and pets that might interfere with such devices when they are turned on. If a problem in the System occurs, you will notify us immediately. You will obtain and keep in effect all permits or licenses that may be required for the operation of the System. You will give us an emergency call list which will include the name, telephone number and relationship of each person we should call in the event we believe there is an emergency at you premises. For commercial systems, you will give us a schedule of your opening and closing hours. You will notify us in writing of any changes in the information you provided us. You agree that we may disclose the information you give us to any governmental agency having jurisdiction over the use and operation of the System. IF THE SYSTEM INCLUDES ANY WIRELESS DEVICES, YOU WILL REPLACE THE BATTERIES AS NEEDED AND AT LEAST ONCE PER YEAR. First of all, please call the Central Station Toll Free at 1 (866) 572-4672 and request that your system be placed on test. If you want to speed up the process with the Central Station, have the Central Station ID Number (CSID) available. If you do not know your CSID Click Here! The Central Station will ask how long you want to place your system on test for, for this test an hour should be perfect. After the Central Station has placed your system on test, make sure that all doors and windows are closed and, if necessary bypass opened zones. If you need help bypassing a zone click on the Homeowners Support to download your manual. If your keypads STATUS light is green, arm the alarm and wait until the exit delay expires. The best way to test the alarm would be to open a window verus a door, since doors have delays. Once the Horn and Bell sound, do not hesitate to disarm the alarm with your 4-digit code. Once you have completed the above steps call the Central Station at 1 (866) 572-4672 to verify your test results. If the Central Station does not receive your signals please contact our office at 1 (916) 386-9696 or click Request Service to email our scheduling office. |
